Fantasy. The Artemis Fowl Series is about a modern day rich teenage genius named Artemis Fowl, who isn't really on the right side of the law. In fact, his father was the head of organized crime in Ireland before he disappeared under mysterious circumstances. In the first book you figure out that fairies, goblins, and dwarfs (and a bunch of other creatures) exist underground, keeping their existence unknown to mankind. 13+ for magic, violence and a little swearing, I would recommend this book to any teenagers who will take the time to read it. My 15 year old sister read 20 pages and decided she didn't like it.
