A great series about talking birds, Guardians of Ga'Hoole got me into reading. I started reading this series when I was about nine or ten, and I was hooked until I finished reading all 15 books. Waaaaaaaaaay better then the movie. There's some violence, and there is a hell that they mention called Quagmire, and there are some evil birdies who do magic. Oh ya, they swear in the owl language. 9+
