    Maximum Ride is 2% bird, Katniss is just a girl, Michael has electrical powers and Percy is half god.... hmmmmmmmmmmm

    This is Grace. I voted for Percy Jackson too! He would definately win a battle beacause he has water powers, his dad is Poseidon, AND Percy has a cool pen that can turn into a sword!!! I want that pen...

      I want that pen too...
      But wouldn't it be cool if the pen had powers of its own? Including the sword part of course!

    Okay, so this is Katie. And my argument for choosing Maximum Ride was because, well, she IS suppose to save the world. I would HOPE she doesn't die. But then my lovely brother pointed out that Percy Jackson has that Achilles (spelt wrong? probably) blessing/curse/thing. And the fact that he IS half "god"...
    Nope, sorry still Maximum Ride. She has WINGS people!!! She's 2% bird!!! And like she says: "That 2% makes an awfully big impact, let me tell you..."

    Katie!!!! Percy Jackson would ABSOlUTELY WIN!!!!! He has water powers for goodness sake! AND A COOL PEN!!!!! and what happens if Maximum's wings get wet? She crashes! so there!

      This is what would happen: Max would fly high into the air, and Micheal Vey would turn her into fried chicken with a well placed lightning bolt, Katniss would curl up into a fetal position and start whimpering,"Not again, not again", Percy would then put water on Micheal Vey while he was charging up for a huge lightning bolt, which would result in Mike zapping himself, then Katniss would shoot at Percy, which of course woudn't hurt him, as he has the Achilles Heel thing, then Percy would get into an epic hand to hand fight with Katniss that Percy would eventually win. There you go!

    ok OOOOOOOH!!! that's a really hard question! um.... its defiantly a tie between Maximum Ride an Katniss Everdeen... Max has super powers BUT Katniss could just snipe everyone with her bow... yeah I'm gonna have to say Katniss... but its so CLOSE! OK lets just say its a tie between Katniss and Max? UGH! its just so hard... you know Max could just dive bomb, grab someone and then fly straight up and drop the person to their death SPLAT... but Katniss could stay at a safe distance or in a tree and just shoot the people with a arrow... I just don't know! I guess I'll say Katniss (cuz either way she is totally awesome)

    oh no!!!!!!!!! it is so Max Ride i mean hello people!!! she fights off genetically altered hybrids with the strength of ten bulls in one every day while being a mother. i agree that Katniss is amazing but she won all those fights against HUMANS! And Micheal Vey and Percey Jackson don't stand a chance against the awesomeness that is Maximum Ride. while i agree that Katniss is a kick butt ninja Max wins hands down.

    I would love to vote for Katniss.... *sigh* but then, she's just a lowly human! Vote has to go for Percy. It's the whole 1/2 god thing... BUT, They'd make a kick butt team!

The Running Dream , Wendelin Van Draanen ***** (5 stars) from KATIE Sports Fiction I really don't think giving The Running Dream five stars is very fair. It is such a good book it deserves ten stars at least. I love this book so much!!!! It's about a sixteen year old girl named Jessica who's track team gets into a car accident, leaving her alive, which is good, but minus one leg. She was the star of the track team and her dream was to get a track scholarship for college. After the accident she wasn't even sure she wanted to live anymore. What's life without running? But her parents and track coach aren't giving up on her. The put her into physical therapy, determined to get her on her feet again, and even more importantly, get her running. This book is so inspiring (it reminds me of the movie Soul Surfer) and you find yourself cheering for Jessica out loud. It makes you want to get up and work harder toward whatever goal you ...

The Lord of the Flies is a dark book about a bunch of British boys who crash a plane onto an uninhabited island in the Pacific, where they have to survive until help arrives- if it ever does. At first, everything seems to be going well.
